Want a second look?
Text me. I’ll set up a private showing at a time that works for you, and we can talk through an offer if it’s the one.
Questions to ask at a Tucson open house
The host usually works for the seller. That’s normal. Just keep it in mind as you listen.
- How old are the roof and the AC? Both matter more here than in most places.
- What do summer electric bills run? A rough number from the seller helps you budget.
- Is the solar owned or leased? It changes what you’re buying.
- Is there an HOA? Ask about dues, rules and any upcoming fees.
- Any offers or price changes? The host may not share everything, but it’s fair to ask.
Common questions
Do I have to sign anything to go to an open house?
No. According to the National Association of REALTORS®, you can visit an open house on your own without signing a written buyer agreement. Many hosts ask visitors to sign in, which is a common safety practice.
Can I bring my own agent?
Yes. Text me the address and I’ll try to meet you there. If I can’t make it, go anyway and tell the host you’re working with me. Then text me what you liked and what you’re unsure about. You shouldn’t have to judge a home from one walk-through, so I’ll find out what the open house doesn’t tell you, like how long it’s been on the market and what similar homes nearby sold for. Already working with another agent? Just give the host their name.
When are most Tucson open houses?
Many are on Saturdays and Sundays, and some agents host weekday afternoon open houses too. Times change often, so check each listing before you go.
What if the home I like isn’t having an open house?
Text me the address and I’ll request a private showing. Before we tour a home together, we’ll sign a short written buyer agreement, which is now required nationally when you tour with an agent. I’ll walk you through it first.
